At the salt works of Trapani and Marsala the crystal clear sea is the natural reserve of this prized sea salt. Still produced using ancient Phoenician methods, collected by hand, and using the combined action of the sun and the wind, the salt maintains unaltered the presence of trace elements found in sea water as magnesium, iodine and potassium.
