La Vera, in Extremadura with a privileged microclimate is a rich area for the growing of horticultural products. Extremadura is known as the origin area of the paprika plants that produce the famous Pimentón de la Vera.
This Pimentón is obtained from wholly ripe peppers carefully selected and subjected to the traditional drying process with the heat produced by a wood burning using oak or holm oak and is characterised by its excellent aroma, flavor and color stability.
